Prof. Dr Milutin Blagojević

Milutin Blagojević was born in 1944 in Baničina, Serbia. He got his Bachelor degree in astrophysics at the University of Belgrade in 1968. In 1975 he completed his PhD studies in physics with the thesis "Electromagnetic excitations of nucleon resonances in a relativistic quark model". From 1968 to 1984 he worked at the Institute Vinča, while since 1984 he has been employed at the Institute of Physics, Belgrade. Prof. Blagojević has a rich teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate courses of field theory, particle physics and gravity. He also had a number of visiting positions at the leading scientific institutions and universities worldwide (CERN, Oxford, Imperial Colllege, Brown, ICTP, Cologne).

Focal point of the research interest of Milutin Blagojević are gauge theories of gravity, in particular canonical dynamics and asymptotic symmetries. In his book Gravitation and gauge symmetries, IoP Publishing, Bristol 2002, he summarized some of his major scientific achievements. For an extensive list of publications see the SLAC list.
